Cyrsiau Preswyl/ Residential Courses

n ystod blwyddyn academaidd 2026-2027, bydd YGG Bryniago yn trefnu nifer o ymweliadau preswyl i gefnogi profiadau dysgu ac i gyfoethogi'r cwricwlwm. Credwn fod y profiadau hyn yn rhan allweddol o addysg y plant, gan gynnig cyfleoedd gwerthfawr i ddatblygu annibyniaeth, hyder, gwydnwch, sgiliau cymdeithasol a gwaith tîm.

Mae'r ymweliadau preswyl hefyd yn helpu disgyblion i ddatblygu amrywiaeth o sgiliau bywyd pwysig y tu allan i'r ystafell ddosbarth, wrth greu profiadau ac atgofion a fydd yn para am oes. Yn ogystal, bydd disgyblion Blwyddyn 6 yn cymryd rhan mewn ymweliad preswyl ar y cyd â disgyblion eraill o glwstwr Ysgol Gyfun Gŵyr fel rhan o'r rhaglen bontio, gan eu helpu i baratoi ar gyfer y cam nesaf yn eu haddysg mewn ffordd gadarnhaol a chefnogol.

Er mwyn sicrhau bod y ddarpariaeth hon yn parhau i fod yn hygyrch i deuluoedd, bydd yr ysgol yn dosbarthu holiadur i rieni a gofalwyr er mwyn casglu barn ynghylch cost ymweliadau preswyl a chynllunio ar gyfer y dyfodol.

Yn ystod 2026-2027, bwriedir trefnu'r cyrsiau preswyl canlynol:

Blynyddoedd 4 a 5 - Gwersyll yr Urdd Caerdydd

Bydd disgyblion Blynyddoedd 4 a 5 yn cael y cyfle i ymweld â Gwersyll yr Urdd Caerdydd, hostel pedair seren sydd wedi'i lleoli yng nghanol Bae Caerdydd. Mae'r ganolfan yn cynnig profiad unigryw i blant gael blas ar ddiwylliant, hanes a bywyd prifddinas Cymru.

Yn ystod yr ymweliad, bydd y disgyblion yn cymryd rhan mewn ystod eang o weithgareddau addysgol a chymdeithasol a gynlluniwyd i ddatblygu eu hannibyniaeth, eu sgiliau cyfathrebu a'u gallu i gydweithio ag eraill. I nifer o'r plant, bydd hyn yn brofiad gwerthfawr o dreulio amser oddi cartref a datblygu mwy o hyder ynddynt eu hunain.

Blwyddyn 6 - Gwersyll yr Urdd Llangrannog

Uchafbwynt blwyddyn olaf y disgyblion yn YGG Bryniago fydd yr ymweliad preswyl â Gwersyll yr Urdd Llangrannog. Wedi'i leoli ar arfordir hardd Ceredigion, mae'r ganolfan enwog hon wedi bod yn darparu profiadau cofiadwy i blant a phobl ifanc ers degawdau.

Bydd y disgyblion yn cymryd rhan mewn amrywiaeth eang o weithgareddau anturus a heriol sy'n meithrin annibyniaeth, gwydnwch, arweinyddiaeth a gwaith tîm. Yn ogystal â'r gweithgareddau cyffrous, mae'r ymweliad yn gyfle arbennig i gryfhau cyfeillgarwch, dathlu eu cyfnod yn yr ysgol gynradd a chreu atgofion parhaol cyn pontio i'r ysgol uwchradd.

During the 2026-2027 academic year, YGG Bryniago will organise a number of residential visits to enrich the curriculum and enhance pupils' learning experiences. We strongly believe that these visits play a vital role in children's education, providing valuable opportunities to develop independence, confidence, resilience, social skills and teamwork.

Residential experiences also enable pupils to develop important life skills beyond the classroom while creating memories that will last a lifetime. In addition, Year 6 pupils will participate in a joint residential visit with pupils from the Ysgol Gyfun Gwyr cluster as part of the transition programme, helping them prepare confidently for the next stage of their education.

To ensure that these opportunities remain accessible to families, the school will distribute a questionnaire to parents and carers to gather views on the cost of residential visits and to support future planning.

During 2026-2027, the following residential visits are planned:

Years 4 and 5 - Urdd Cardiff Residential Centre

Pupils in Years 4 and 5 will have the opportunity to attend Urdd Cardiff Residential Centre, a four-star hostel located in the heart of Cardiff Bay. The centre provides children with a unique opportunity to experience the culture, history and atmosphere of Wales' capital city.

During the visit, pupils will participate in a wide range of educational and social activities designed to promote independence, communication skills and teamwork. For many children, this will be an important opportunity to spend time away from home and to further develop their confidence and resilience.

Year 6 - Urdd Llangrannog Residential Centre

A highlight of the pupils' final year at YGG Bryniago will be the residential visit to Urdd Llangrannog. Situated on the beautiful Ceredigion coastline, this renowned residential centre has provided memorable experiences for children and young people for many years.

Pupils will participate in a wide variety of exciting and challenging activities that promote independence, resilience, leadership and teamwork. Alongside these adventures, the visit provides a special opportunity for pupils to strengthen friendships, celebrate their primary school journey and create lasting memories before transferring to secondary school.

The Llangrannog residential visit is often regarded as one of the most memorable experiences of primary school life and is a fitting culmination of pupils' time at YGG Bryniago.
