Mae’r Dosbarth Derbyn yn dilyn Cwricwlwm i Gymru yn unol ag egwyddorion Cwricwlwm lleoliadau nas gynhelir, gan ddarparu amgylchedd dysgu cyfoethog, ysgogol a chefnogol i bob plentyn. Rhoddir pwyslais cryf ar ddatblygu llythrennedd Cymraeg, gan feithrin hyder y plant i wrando, siarad, darllen ac ysgrifennu yn y Gymraeg. Yn ogystal, mae ffocws mawr ar ddatblygu sgiliau annibynnol, gan annog y plant i wneud dewisiadau, datrys problemau a chymryd cyfrifoldeb cynyddol am eu dysgu eu hunain.

Mae’n bwysig cofio bod pob plentyn yn datblygu ar ei gyflymder ei hun, ac rydym yn gwerthfawrogi ac yn cefnogi taith unigryw pob plentyn. Trwy ddarparu profiadau dysgu priodol ac ystyrlon, rydym yn helpu pob plentyn i wneud cynnydd a datblygu’r sgiliau a’r hyder sydd eu hangen arnynt i lwyddo ar draws pob maes o fewn Cwricwlwm i Gymru.

The Reception Class follows the Curriculum for Wales in line with the principles of the Curriculum for non-maintained settings, providing a rich, stimulating and supportive learning environment for all children. A strong emphasis is placed on developing Welsh literacy, helping children build confidence in listening, speaking, reading and writing in Welsh. There is also a significant focus on developing independent learning skills, encouraging children to make choices, solve problems and take increasing responsibility for their own learning.

It is important to remember that every child develops at their own pace, and we value and support each child’s individual learning journey. By providing appropriate and meaningful learning experiences, we help every child make progress and develop the skills and confidence needed to succeed across all areas of the Curriculum for Wales.
