Asesiadau/ Assessments

Mae asesu’n ganolog i gyflwyno’r cwricwlwm yn effeithiol ac mae’n rhaid asesu disgyblion yn ffurfiol yn 7 ac 11 oed yn ôl Deddf Diwygio Addysg 1988.

 

Ein nod yw sefydlu asesu fel ffordd effeithiol ac ymarferol o sicrhau a chofnodi cynnydd yn y cwricwlwm cenedlaethol.

Yn ystod y flwyddyn rydyn ni yn;

  • Asesu disgyblion yn erbyn y profion rhifedd a darllen cenedlaethol a defnyddio’r canlyniadau i arwain y broses cynllunio ac ymateb i anghenion disgyblion unigol.
  • Defnyddio Asesu ar gyfer Dysgu ar draws yr ysgol i hyrwyddo datblygiad a dealltwriaeth disgyblion o’u dysgu a sut i wella hynny.
  • Cydweithio gyda disgyblion er mwyn pennu targedau unigol i bob plentyn.
  • Safoni a chymedroli gwaith yn rheolaidd er mwyn sicrhau dealltwriaeth a hyder staff wrth asesu a lefelu gwaith disgyblion yn unol a lefelau’r Cwricwlwm Cenedlaethol.

 

Gwneir pob ymdrech i sicrhau bod adroddiadau ysgrifenedig i rieni’n cynnwys sylwadau cyrhaeddiad ym mhob pwnc o’r cwricwlwm cenedlaethol, gan gynnwys rhifedd, llythrennedd a chymhysedd digidol, yn ogystal â sylwadau ar ymdrech ac agwedd.

 

Mae’r adroddiadau am ganlyniadau’r asesiadau cenedlaethol i rieni’n rhoi adroddiad ar gyfer perfformiad eu plentyn.

 

Assessment is central to delivering the curriculum effectively, and pupils must be formally assessed at 7 and 11 years of age according to the Education Reform Act 1988.

Our aim is to establish assessment as an effective and practical way of ensuring and recording progress in the National Curriculum.

During the year we:

  • Assess pupils and use the results to inform the planning process and to respond to individual pupils' needs.
  • Use Assessment for Learning across the school to promote pupils' development and understanding of their learning and how to improve it.
  • Work with pupils to set individual targets for each child.
  • Standardise and moderate work regularly to ensure staff members' understanding and confidence when assessing and levelling pupils' work in line with the levels of the National Curriculum.

 

Every effort is made to ensure that written reports for parents include comments on attainment in every subject in the national curriculum, including numeracy and literacy, and comments on effort and attitude.

 

 

Cynhelir dwy noson i rieni yn ystod y flwyddyn i roi cyfle iddynt siarad ag athro/athrawes ddosbarth eu plentyn, trafod gwaith eu plentyn a siarad.

 

Mae’r Cydlynydd Anghenion Dysgu Ychwanegol ar gael am sgwrs bob bore dydd Gwener drwy apwyntiad.

 

Two parents' evenings are held during the year in order to give parents an opportunity to discuss their child with the class teacher, to discuss their child's work.

 

Parents can speak with the Additional Learning Needs Co-ordinator by appointment on a Friday morning.

Bydd plant Blwyddyn 2-6 YGG Bryniago yn cael eu hasesu o fewn:

· Darllen Cymraeg

· Darllen Saesneg (Bl.3-6)

· Rhifedd gweithdrefnol

· Rhifedd Rhesymegol

yn ystod yr wythnosau nesaf.

Ar ôl i ddysgwyr gwblhau’r asesiadau hyn, bydd gan ysgolion fynediad at adborth ar sgiliau a chynnydd dysgwyr er mwyn helpu i gynllunio’r dysgu ac addysgu.

Personalised assessments: information for parents and carers

 

YGG Bryniago’s Year 2-6 pupils will be assessed within: 

· Welsh reading

· English reading (Bl.3-6)

· Numeracy (procedural)

· Numeracy (reasoning)

during the next few weeks.

After learners have completed these assessments, schools will have access to feedback on learners’ skills and progress to help plan teaching and learning.
