Gall anhawster Iaith a lleferydd effeithio nifer o elfennau gan gynnwys:
Speech and Language difficulties can affect many elements including:
- Anhawsterau cyfathrebu (Anhawster dealltwriaeth Anhawster iaith fynegiannol, Anhawster ffonolegol, Anhawster pragmatig)/ Communication difficulties ( difficulty in understanding expressive language, phonological difficulty, pragmatic difficulty)
- anawsterau dysgu ysgafn, cymedrol neu ddifrifol/ Mild, moderate or severe learning difficulties
- oediad iaith/ Language delay
- atal dweud/ Stammer
- awtistiaeth / anawsterau wrth ryngweithio’n gymdeithasol/ Autism or social communication difficulties
- Mudandod dethol/ Selective mutism
- Dyspracsia geiriol/ Verbal dyspraxia
- Anhwylderau’r llais/ Voice disorders

Mae’r ysgol yn defnyddio rhaglenni Wellcomm a Speechlink er mwyn asesu anghenion iaith a lleferydd y plant. Rydym hefyd yn gweithio’n agos iawn gyda Thim Iaith a Lleferydd Abertawe.
The school uses two assessment programmes to assess the speech and language needs of the children. They are Wellcomm and Speechlink. We also work very closely with the Speech and Language team in Swansea.

Ailadrodd geiriau o gan neu stori/ Repeat words from a song or story
Siarad am o leiaf un peth a ddigwyddodd yn eu diwrnod/ Talk about at least one thing that happened during their day
Erbyn 5 mlwydd oed mae’r mwyafrif o blant yn gallu/ By 5 years old, most children can:
Dweud stori sy’n cynnwys o leiaf 2 ddigwyddiad/ Tell a story with at least 2 events
Ateb cwestiynnau syml am lyfr neu stori/ Answer simple questions about a book or story
Cynnal sgwrs gyda o leiaf 3 cyfnewid yn ol ac ymlaen/ Keep a conversation going with more than 3 back-and-forth exchanges
Defnyddio neu adnabod odlau syml fel mam-ham/ Use or recognize simple rhymes, like bat-cat
