Gweledigaeth Cwricwlwm YGG Bryniago
Ein nod yn Ysgol Gymraeg Bryniago yw cynnig cwricwlwm deinamig, perthnasol, pwrpasol ac ysgogol sy’n tanio’r angerdd am ddysgu yn ein dysgwyr. Bydd ein cwricwlwm yn cynnig profiadau eang, gwerthfawr a chofiadwy i’n dysgwyr. Bydd yn eu grymuso i adeiladu ar eu sgiliau a’u gwybodaeth blaenorol. Byddant yn cael eu herio i brofi llwyddiant. Bydd bob plentyn yn cael mynediad cyflawn at y profiadau, y wybodaeth a’r sgiliau y mae eu hangen arnyn nhw ym myd gwaith, ar gyfer dysgu gydol oes ac er mwyn bod yn ddinasyddion gweithredol. Yn ganolog i’n cwricwlwm cynhwysol mae ein hymrwymiad i ddatblygu meddylfryd a pherthnasoedd cadarnhaol fel bod ein dysgwyr yn ffynnu. YGG Bryniago's Curriculum Vision
Our aim at Ysgol Gymraeg Bryniago is to offer a dynamic, relevant, appropriate and stimulating curriculum that sparks a passion for learning in our learners. Our curriculum will offer our learners broad, valuable and memorable experiences. It will empower them to build on their previous skills and knowledge. They will be challenged to prove success. All children will have full access to the experiences, knowledge and skills they need in the world of work, for lifelong learning and to be active citizens. Central to our inclusive curriculum is our commitment to developing positive thinking and relationships so that our learners thrive. Under our care and guidance our curriculum will develop our learners to be independent and co-operative citizens who will be ready to walk forward with confidence in their local community, in Wales and in the wider world. We inspire our children to feel proud of their country and language and to treasure their legacy and culture.

Y Pedwar Diben/ The Four Purposes
Mae cwricwlwm Ysgol Bryniago yn cael ei lywio gan y pedwar diben. Mae’r pedwar diben yn ymgorffori gweledigaeth y Cwricwlwm i Gymru, ac yn cynrychioli dyheadau’r ysgol yn ogystal a'n huchelgeisiau ar gyfer pob dysgwr, gan eu galluogi i ddod yn:
• ddysgwyr uchelgeisiol a galluog
• ddinasyddion egwyddorol a gwybodus
• gyfranwyr mentrus a chreadigol
• unigolion iach a hyderus.
Bydd holl brofiadau dysgu YGG Bryniago yn darparu cyfleoedd i ddysgwyr symud ymlaen tuag at y pedwar diben hyn. Y rhain yw'r man dechrau, yn ogystal â'r gyrchfan, a rhaid iddynt fod yn sail i bob penderfyniad.
Ysgol Bryniago's curriculum is informed by the four purposes. The four purposes embody the vision of the Curriculum for Wales, and represent the aspirations of the school as well as our ambitions for all learners, enabling them to become:

• enterprising, creative contributors
• healthy, confident individuals.
All YGG Bryniago's learning experiences will provide opportunities for learners to progress towards these four purposes. These are the starting point, as well as the destination, and must form the basis of all decisions.

Trefniadaeth y Cwricwlwm: Cyfnod Sylfaen (Meithrin)
Wythnosau ffocws: Focus weeks: | Wythnos ffocws yn ddibynnol ar adeg y flwyddyn/ beth sy’n gyfredol. | The focus weeks are based on the time of year and planned events within the calendar.

Gwaith thematig: (llythrennedd, rhifedd, digidol) Theme work: (literacy, numeracy and digital competency) | Gwaith thematig trwy’r tymor- sy'n cael ffocws am bythefnos. -Tasg Mathemateg a Rhifedd yn gysylltiedig â’r thema. -Tasg Iaith a llythrennedd yn gysylltiedig â’r thema. -Tasgau traws-gwricwlaidd yn seiliedig â’r tasgau cyfoethog (yn cynnwys tasgau digidol). | -The themed work lasts for the duration of the term- the teacher will break the theme into sub-themes. Tasg gyfoethog: (llythrennedd, rhifedd, digidol) | Creu tasg gyfoethog fel grwp/ dosbarth yn seiliedig ar y thema. 5 tasg wahanol yn cylchdroi dros gyfnod o 5 wythnos. | Rich tasks are completed as a group/ class and are based on the class theme. 5 tasks will rotate over a period of 5 weeks. |

Ar ddiwrnod pontio i’r dosbarth newydd mae’r disgyblion yn cael cyfle i ddewis tri thema am y flwyddyn. Mae pob dosbarth yn dilyn thema am dymor.
Mae plant y Meithrin, Derbyn, Blwyddyn 1 a 2 yn dysgu drwy thema. Maent yn cael cyfle i ddatblygu eu medrau llythrennedd, rhifedd a digidol drwy amrywiaeth o weithgareddau ffurfiol ac ymarferol yn yr ystafell ddosbarth neu allan yn yr awyr agored. Gosodir tasg gyfoethog sy’n gysylltiedig â thema pob dosbarth. Bydd plant pon dosbarth yn cyd-weithio i gwblhau’r dasg gyfoethog erbyn diwedd bob tymor.
Mae plant Blwyddyn 1 yn cael eu cyflwyno i Sbaeneg yn ystod y flwyddyn. Mae plant Blwyddyn 2 yn cael eu cyflwyno i Ffrangeg yn ystod y flwyddyn.
Mae disgyblion Blwyddyn 3-6 hefyd yn dysgu drwy thema. Maent yn cael cyfle i ddatblygu eu medrau llythrennedd, rhifedd a digidol drwy amrywiaeth o weithgareddau ffurfiol ac ymarferol yn yr ystafell ddosbarth neu allan yn yr awyr agored. Gosodir tasg gyfoethog sy’n gysylltiedig â thema pob dosbarth. Bydd plant pon dosbarth yn cyd-weithio i gwblhau’r dasg gyfoethog erbyn diwedd bob tymor. Rhoddir cyfle i ddisgyblion Blwyddyn 3-6 i gwblhau cwestiynau ymchwilio sy’n gysylltiedig â thema’r dosbarth. Mae’r Fwydlen Thema yn gyfle i’r dysgwyr i gymryd cyfrifodeb dros beth y maent yn ei ddysgu ar lawr y dosbarth a sut maent yn cyflwyno’r hyn maent wedi ei ddysgu. Mae disgyblion Blwyddyn 3 a 4 yn cael eu cyflwyno i ieithoedd eraill y byd yn ystod eu cyfnod yn yr ysgol. Maent hefyd yn adeiladu ar eu gwybodaeth o Sbaeneg. Mae disgyblion Blwyddyn 5 a 6 yn datblygu eu medrau aml-ieithrwydd. Maent hefyd yn enhangu ar eu gwybodaeth o Ffrangeg.
Pupils have an opportunity to voice their opinions about the class themes on their annual transition day in July. Each class follows a theme for a term.
Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and 2 complete theme work activities. They will learn indoors and outdoors. They will be given an opportunity to develop their literacy, numeracy and digital skills through a variety of formal and practical. A rich task is set every term. By the end of the term the class will work together in order to fullfill this rich task activity.
Year 1 children are introduced to Spanish during the year. Year 2 children are introduced to French during the year.
Year 3-6 pupils also complete theme work activities. They have the opportunity to develop their literacy, numeracy and digital skills through a variety of formal and practical activities. A rich task is set every term. By the end of the term the class/ group/ pair will work together in order to fullfill this rich task activity.
Year 3-6 pupils are given the opportunity to complete research questions related to the class theme. This is called the Theme Menu. The Theme Menu is an opportunity for learners to choose what they would like to learn based on the class theme for the term. They will research questions and present their findings in an interesting manner. Year 3 and 4 pupils are introduced to different languages during their time at school. They also build on their knowledge of Spanish. Year 5 and 6 pupils develop their multilingual skills. They also enhance their knowledge of French.
