Bydd angen i'r pennaeth hefyd weithio'n agos gyda Chydlynydd Anghenion Dysgu Ychwanegol (Cydlynydd ADY) dynodedig yr ysgol i sicrhau y gwneir darpariaeth effeithiol ac effeithlono er mwyn diwallu anghenion dysgu ychwanegol.
Dylai'r holl staff addysgu a chefnogi fod yn rhan o ddatblygu ac adolygu polisi anghneion dysgu ychwanegol yr ysgol. Dylent fod yn llwyr ymwybodol o arferion a gweithdrefnau'r ysgol wrth ddiwallu anghenion dysgu ychwanegol a'u rol a'u cyfrifoldebau yn yr arferion a'r gweithdrefnau hynny.

The headteacher is the most senior teacher at a school and is responsible for the education of all pupils. Learn about the headteacher's responsibilities with regard to supporting children with Additional Learning Needs (ALN).
The school headteacher should, in co-operation with the governing body:
The school headteacher has responsibility for the day-to-day management of all aspects of the school's work, including the provision for Additional Learning Needs. The headteacher will need to keep the governing body fully informed. The headteacher will also need to work closely with the school's designated Additional Learning Needs Co-ordinator (ALNCo) to ensure effective and efficient provision is made to meet additional learning needs.
All teaching and support staff should be involved in the development and review of the school's Additional Learning Needs policy. They should also be fully aware of the school's practices and procedures in meeting Additional Leaning Neds and their role and responsibility within those practices and procedures.
Each school has a designated Additional Learning Needs Co-ordinator (ALNCo) who plays a key role in Additional Learning Needs (ALN) policy and provision. Find out how the ALNCo advises and supports other members of staff.
The school's designated Additional Learning Needs Co-ordinator, working closely with fellow school staff, has an important role in the day-to-day operation of the school's policy on meeting additional learning needs and in overseeing the provision to meet additional learning needs.
A school's Additional Learning Needs Co-ordinator should be responsible for:
The local authority is responsible for providing guidance to schools and other education settings about their statutory duties to promote high standards of education for all children.
The local authority has an essential role and responsibility linked with:
All local authorities have a statutory duty to provide parent partnership services, but do not have to deliver the service themselves. Parents and schools should receive clear information about services and providers (including, where relevant, the involvement of voluntary groups). Local authorities may wish to develop consultation arrangements with voluntary organisations and parent support groups to ensure that they are aware of local policies and procedures for children with Additional Learning Needs. They should be made aware that voluntary groups can make a positive contribution to the development and review of Additional Learning Needs policies and practices.
Local authorities have a responsibility for the provision of a wide range of information materials for parents. Local authorities should also inform parents of any responsibilities that schools have in publishing policies relating to Additional Learning Needs.
Parents and carers have unique knowledge and experience to contribute to the shared understanding of a child's needs and the best ways of supporting them. Learn more about the important role you play as a parent.
Parents and carers have an important role to play in the education of their child.
In addition, the Welsh Assembly Government's Special Education Needs Code of Practice and its Parents' Guide gives details of the types of parental rights that are connected with the education of children with Additional Learning Needs. For example, a local authority must arrange for the parent of a child with Additional Learning Needs to be provided with advice and information about matters relating to those needs. Local authorities must take whatever steps they consider appropriate to make Parent Partnership Services known to parents, headteachers, schools and others that they consider appropriate.
In addition, parents must be informed of their rights to access a local independent Disagreement Resolution Service in seeking to resolve any disagreement that may arise either with their school or their local authority. They should also be informed of their right to appeal to the independent Special Educational Needs Tribunal for Wales if they are not happy with how a local authority plans to provide for their child.
